The Bexley Pen Company was founded in year 1993 by several enthusiasts who collected vintage pens. Several years have passed before the company started to use modem technology to create American classic designs that would still remind of the Golden Age of Fountain Pens. Some of the pens are made from ebonite, a hardened rubber material that was popular before modern plastics came into use in the 1920’s. Their most popular pen designs often feature filigree overlays. The technology is also something amazing. Bexley uses various filling systems for their pens. A few can be filled with an eyedropper, some fill using a pushbutton, and many accept either ink cartridges or a piston actuated converter.
The Bexley Pen Company tries to make distinctive writing instruments for the discerning customer. Computer controlled equipment, as well as decades of manufacturing experience is used for production of components. Assembly and polishing are done by hand.
