This remote controlled car has the look and dynamics of a little Moller Skycar - and this is for a reason. The car can zoom over vritually any flat surface, including grass, concrete, and dirt. Once it reaches 20MPH it goes airborne! The maximum attainable altitude is up to 20 stories at 30MPH. Like Doc Brown said, "Where we’re going, we don’t need roads." ... read moreThis remote controlled car is a feast of fun for the kiddies, but not only, since it is sure to excite the kid in all of us as we whip around the driveway in a Ferrari that we’ll never be able to afford. But if you really want to "take off", you should closely consider the Fly Wheels XPV, a remote controlled car that literally goes airborne when it hits 20 mph.
It stays glued to the ground like any good R/C while you carefully and slowly navigate the surrounding terrain, but when you press the throttle and keep the finger on for a while, the Fly Wheels XPV will take the air soaring as high as 20 stories, circumnavigating high rise buildings at speeds of up to 30 mph. Like a real plane, don’t let it slow down while it’s in the air though.
Best of all, it’s actually priced quite reasonably, but you’ll need to invest in a rechargeable battery to make it do anything. The bad news is that the battery only lasts 10 minutes, so no trans-Atlantic flights for you.
