The units come with a suction mount for easier installation on the windscreen or front panel of your car, a DC power lead for the cigarette lighter socket, a USB cable to connect to your PC (though most units are sold with preloaded maps), an AC adapter to charge the unit at home, and an SD card with preloaded maps of the US, including a wealth of different useful points of interest, such as gas stations, ATM machines, Post Offices, hotels, car parks and many more.

The extra advantage of Bluetooth enabled modules is that whenever connected to your GSM phone it will use the GPRS function of your cell phone to get the most up to date traffic and accidents information. The subscription is not free but it is worth the investment, especially if you have to drive accross non-familiar cities (what would you need the GPS for anyway?).
